My new <3 product that is a new essential for my makeup bag and “emergency kit” is Benefit’s Powderflage!!! Florida summers are plain hot and humid! Now, I wear waterproof mascara and find that midway through the day, I can get the dreaded raccoon eyes. Plus when the temps hit the 90′s, makeup just melts. So i have heard about this product for concealing but NEVER knew it was amazingly water resistant. I did a test on my hand and the water just beaded off! Talk about staying power (I now have protection from tears as the bride walks down the aisle!!!)
While I wouldn’t suggest using it as a concealer (there is no coverage whatsoever!), I do think it is a superb setting and brightening powder for under the eyes. The texture is very fine, and the light pink color helps to disguise any discoloration. I used this as a setting powder over my concealer, and applied it to the tops of my cheekbones. It instantly created a brightening effect, and made me look like I was well rested (which is no small feat!).
Another benefit of this powder is that it helps to increase the staying power of your concealer, and won’t settle into fine lines. This product also comes with a really cute fan brush for a feather light application. Perfection in a little jar!
