If you didn’t know, I am a music buff!!! LOL, the title of this post was a song but guess what, I WAS SOOOO WRONG lol! It was actually Mr Tambourine man (although I bet most of us didn’t know the difference
Be sure to scroll down to the bottom for a cute little proposal stance!

As I sit here thinking about the Pantone color of 2012, i should have reserved my initial thoughts. I usually don’t like the color orange but there is something really bright and pretty about the color Tangerine!
I cant decide which combination i like better, so let’s reserve judgement until we decide on the timing of the wedding plan and your wedding date! I LOVE this one for Spring/Summer.

If you’ve ever found yourself drooling over the perfect sparkly, shiny shoe,
Ooh, guess what?! Do I have a way for you to get that “something blue!”
It’s quick, it’s easy and will make you smile,
And the finished product will be so dazzling (literally!), you will sparkle down the aisle!
Here is what you will need:
- An old or new pair of oxfords, I used an old pair.
- Glitter, of your color choice!
- Mod Podge glue, glasse finish {right next to the tacky glue at a craft store}
- A bowl
- Two sponge brushes
- Toothpicks {optional}
- Painter’s tape {I didn’t use mine, but would have been so helpful at the end!}
- Water proof shoe protecter
- Newspaper, to glitter on without making a giant mess

Then you are going to pour the glue and glitter into a designated bowl. I recommend a lot of glitter for this. Probably more than you would think necessary.
Next, pour approximately 1/3 of the Mod Podge into a paper cup or small disposable container, and add half of your glitter. Swirl it around together (I did so using the latest instrument in advanced technology, a stick!), and then, with one of your paint brushes, apply a thin layer of the mixture to your shoe. (Psst! Don’t be alarmed when you add your first coat and think ”argh! Everything’s WHITE!”: the mixture does turn clear as it dries.)
Allowing each coat to dry, repeat the painting method until you’ve achieved your desired level of glimmer (tip #2: for a faster process, gradually sprinkle remaining glitter over each coat by hand.).
To finish, add a small amount of Mod Podge to another paper cup or container, and using your second paint brush, coat the shoes with a final layer to seal them.

The sky is the limit on what color you choose….. See the champagne sparkle below………… So you see, that special WOW that you see all over the magazines (and at the high end FANCY stores…… you know the $800+++ shoes) well, you can have your very own pair!!!!

Instead of offering an open bar at your reception (which can get really expensive), just serve one or two signature cocktails along with a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
Choosing a Signature Cocktail
• Choose a drink that coordinates with your wedding theme or color scheme… it’s a lot of fun and will look great in pictures.
• Think about the time of year you are getting married and choose your cocktail(s) accordingly… cold and frothy for warmer weather, warm and spicy for cooler weather.
• One fun idea is to pick one signature drink for the bride and one for the groom. Don’t forget to give them fun and creative names that personalize them for your wedding.
• Try to choose cocktails that will appeal to a wide audience and are not too strong.
Drink Recipe Ideas
Keep the ingredients simple. Recipes that require only one alcoholic ingredient will save the most money.
Blushing Bride
- 3 oz. Pineapple Rum
- 3 oz. Cranberry Juice
- 3 oz. Orange juice
Shake ingredients together, chill, and serve straight up or over ice in a glass.
The Nervous Groom
- 1.5 oz. Whisky
- 5 oz. Sour Mix
- Splash of Grenadine
Shake ingredients together, chill, and serve straight up or over ice in a glass.
